Aga Demonstrations Materials

This pamphlet is a portion of a campaign we're doing for our Aga Cooker Demonstrations. It used for the demonstrators to print the schedules on the inside.
If you happen to be a geek, check out the middle panel and see who gave us a quote!

Commissions

So one might notice the "Commissions" button I've added to the page. I'm always up for a little extra work so I thought I'd start pandering for some. That being said, I love the company I work for, Aga-Heartland. They make fantastic products and I stand behind them %100. So if you want me to do stuff for an appliance company... don't bother asking. Other than that it's all fair game, so ask away folks!

Home on the Range...

Let's talk about refrigerators. Heartland makes them, but that's not what I care about here. Did your parents put your art on the refrigerator? It was a crowning achievement wasn't it? Then you wanted nothing more than to create another piece of work they'd put on the refrigerator. When you're young though, your parens will put on pretty much anything you do. Scribbles, stickers stuck to a page randomly, maccaroni glued down in the shape of a house, whatever, they don't care they're just proud of their little kid. As you get older though, they get a little more discriminating - which is fair - but you still try to get your stuff up there. I'm long an adult, but I still try to get my parents to put my work on the fridge every once in a while.

My Dad has read and collected a magazine for years called Cowboys & Indians. He loves it. He gets it every month without fail.

Heartland has a Classic line of Ranges and complementary appliances, they fit perfect in the magazine, and we're advertising in it. I'm totally excited. This is going on the refrigerator. The really fun part about this is, he doesn't know about it and won't until the issue comes out in July. It'll be cool when he flips through the magazine in July and finds it (for the record he doesn't read this blog if you're wondering). I'm excited though so I gotta show it off.

Heartland Paragon

This is the very first ad I did for Heartland when I started working here. I really like it.

Heartland Banner Ad

I did this banner ad for a magiazines website. It's just an animated gif.

Legacy Ad

Our company is owend by Aga so I do all the North American advertising for them too. This is an ad I recently did featuring our Legacy Suite. Not only did I do the ad, but in the oiginal photo all the appliances were white. I changed them all to be our Brick colour instead.

Legend

Here's a new piece from the company I work for now, www.heartlandapp.com. It's a two page advertorial. I'm quite proud of it.

To Begin...

I try to be an artist, which seems to be working out so far... that's always nice. I work as a graphic designer for a very cool company. I'm not going to tell you which, but I'm sure new pieces from them will pop on here once in a while, so I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Sadly, I have no programming skills (yet) so to create a digital portfolio I needed something pre-fabricated. This will do nicely, for now.

If you're at all curious you can see other examples of my work at Heroicartscomics.com. Although really the only thing you'll see examples of here are my very good data entry skills, my moderately capable writing skills, some logo design, and some project planning. The entire site was conceptualized by a friend and I, but he did all the coding and layout. He's quite the superstar programmer... he's not for hire.

You can also check out Bluesuncomic.com. This is very much a work in progress. It's no where near completion, and probably won't be for quite some time; but all the illustration is, and will be mine. It's again an example of my moderately capable writing skills too.

So other than the occasional blurb about the piece you're looking at I'm not going to ramble on here; but there will be lots and lots of pretty pictures to look at, and hopefully you enjoy them.

Ciao.

This is a test I did for a job interview. It was done in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Anakin Skywalker

My son is a huge Star Wars fan, so this piece was for him. It's illustrated like all the rest.

Desire2Learn

This was done as a test for a company I was interviewing with... I actually got the job but turned it down because the company currently work for offered me more money... big mistake. This was done in Photoshop and Illustrator

Justice League

The final of this is an impressive 5' by 3'. It's so cool at that size. I did this as office art for an advertising agency called 58ninety. I did the whole thing with pencil, ink and Photoshop.

Dragon

Another personal favorite. This is an illustration I did for my father-in-law. It's a full 24x36 and hangs on the wall in his home office. I used pencil, ink and Photoshop for colour and effects.

K-W CCCA Poster

I designed this poster and flyer for the K-W Caribbean Canadian Cultural Association. The photographs are mine as well as the rest. I think the whole thing was done in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Waterloo Regional Police Logo

I designed this for the Waterloo Regional Police. It went on all the cars, letterhead, pins, books, posters for the year of their 25th anniversary. The whole thing was done in Photoshop.

HA Logo

The logo for the company founded by my best friend and I. I don't want to toot my own horn too much, but I challenge anyone, anywhere to come up with a logo that's more suiting to what it represents than this! It was all created in Illustrator.

Bluesun Title Art

This is the title art for the comic I'm creating. It was done in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Bluesun

This one is near and dear to my heart. This is the comic book character my best friend and I are trying to get put together. It's taking us a heck of a long time and there's been about a million changes along the way (even a few since this picture was made) but it's getting there, slowly but surely.

I did this the same as I do all my illustrations: pencil, ink and Photoshop for colour. The logo was done in Illustrator, but has since been redesigned.

CSIS Logo

This is an internal department logo I did for the company I currently work for.
It's an insurance company, that's probably all I should tell you.
The whole thing was done in Illustrator.

Catwoman

Did this one for a co-worker. It's pencil, ink and then Photoshop for the colour and effects.

Planned Parenthood

I did this for Planned Parenthood of Waterloo Region. It's their basic informational flyer. I used Illustrator and Quark X Press to do this one.

Stryder Equine Transport

This is a logo I did for a horse trailering company. The whole thing was done in Illustrator

Mr. Transmission

Here's a postcard I did for Mr. Transmission because they were moving locations.

I used a few different tools for this one. Pencil, Ink, Illustrator and Photoshop all play a part in it.

Aquaman

Here's an Aquaman I did. He's pen and ink with Photshop colour.
